11/08/2012 Show #347 On this edition of the NHSCA Sports Hour host Jeff Fisher talks with Perham High School, MN head coach Jeff Morris. The Perham boys claimed the NHSCA Division II National Team Championship by dominating Minnesota Class A State Championship. Jeff Morris has also been named the NHSCA Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year.

9/06/12  Show #340 First Presbyterian Day School's Grace Tinkey is trying to make cross county history in Georgia this year by becoming America's only five-time state champ. To win another gold medal, Tinkey will have to overcome a broken bone near her ankle. Tinkey joins NHSCA Sports Hour host Jeff Fisher on this episode of the show to discuss her rehab from the injury she suffered in February.

10/06/11  Show #313 On this edition of the NHSCA Sports Hour, host Jeff Fisher talks with XCnation.com co-founder David Taylor, who is a Staff Sergeant in the Marines serving in Afghanistan.  Taylor has helped coach two state champions in boys' cross country in three states.

9/15/11  Show #311 On this edition of the NHSCA Sports Hour, host Jeff Fisher talks with two of America's top high school cross country runners.  First, you'll be introduced to Cami Chapus of Harvard-Westlake HS in California, followed by an interview with Lukas Verzbicas, who had just captured the gold medal in the triathlon at the Junior World Championships in China.  Verzbicas, a Sandburg HS (Illinois) grad, is a two-time national boys' cross country high school champ having won the 2009 and 2010 Foot Locker Cross Country Championships.  The show wraps-up with Byron Jenson of the High School Rudy Awards and the Inspireum Soccer Awards.

8/25/11 Show #310 The Christian Brothers Academy (New Jersey) boys' cross country team hasn't lost a dual meet since 1973.  On this episode of the NHSCA Sports Hour, host Jeff Fisher talks with head coach Tom Heath, who has built the small school into a major cross country power with a 309 meet win streak.  Also on the show is Paul Rose, head boys' soccer coach at Jesuit High School in Sacramento.  Rose is California's winningest boys' soccer coach with 631 wins, and his team is currently ranked #1 in many preseason polls.

development for Blitz Group LLC.   Jeff, an

avid high school football fan, is also the

Founder and Editor-in-Chief of High School

Football America, and he’s co-executive

producer of the PBS documentary “Primo

Center” and several other  television show

pilots.

Before launching High School Football America, Fisher, an award-winning journalist, anchored at Fox Sports Net for the Chicago, Bay Area and Ohio regions.  While in the Windy City, Fisher reported on all Chicago professional and college teams, plus served as a pre-, post and in-game host on Fox Sports Net's Emmy-award winning broadcasts for the Cubs and White Sox.  Jeff also worked as a Co-host and pit reporter on several different motor sports programs on Speed Channel and The Outdoor Channel.

 

Before arriving in Chicago, Jeff was the Sports Director at WFMZ-TV in the Allentown/Philadelphia market.   Fisher was the creator, executive producer and host of "The Big Ticket".  The weekly, 60-minute high school football wrap-up show won him the Associated Press Best Sportscast in Pennsylvania Award in 2000.  Fisher was also the creator and host of more than a dozen half-hour sports specials featuring international superstars such as Mario Andretti and Larry Holmes.   Email Jeff
