Dave Ross is a motivator with an "I believe in you" attitude. I was a struggling sophomore who wanted to be a great runner my coaches told me I didn't have the talent and to give up. Dave Ross came in and said I could accomplish anything I decided to pay the price for including running fast. Within one year I went from a mediocre runner to a competitive runner. I went from junior varsity performances to being able to compete with state champions and the elite of my state. I owe this success to the mentorship, positive attitude, coaching experience, and belief that Dave Ross had in me that the only limits I have are the ones I put on myself. Dave Ross is a runners coach!

Dave Ross has helped me immensely. I used to make up my own training by because there were no distance coaches telling me what I needed to do to get better. They were not quite what I needed to be good. With Dave, he has given me inspiration and workouts that have made me a much better runner. Without Dave I wouldn't be where I was today.

I have been a champion under the helm of Dave Ross. I qualified for state as a sophomore and then my coach walked away and the wheels fell off. After a miserable junior season in which I never qualified for state and had few positive races, Dave Ross came into my life. In 1997 as a senior I set over 6-meets records that season and became the only runner in my schools history to claim the Inland Empire, District and Region two-mile Championships. I was double winner in both 1600m and 3200m at the Region Championships, only the second runner to accomplish this feat at the time in my schools history. Ross got me motivated to run. He turned me around and helped me to love running again. I have been inspired by him to get into coaching. In 2005 I coached Jeremiah Johnson to the Utah State 4A Cross Country Championship (16:00-5K) and in 2010 I coached Nathan Weitz to the Washington State 3A Cross Country Championship (15:12-5K). I owe my passion for running to the passion Dave Ross had for me as a runner. I strongly recommend him as the coach you would want to train under.
